It makes sense that if you created a super secure installation you would test it with your best infiltration specialists. I am sure that they have tested their security as part of periodic security and readiness audits. I have been on many different bases over the years and been told that there would be a security test and given a rough time frame. Working late at night the guys in black sweep through and tell you that you are dead. Then you have to do nothing until cleared to live again. In my work experience I have been told that there are special forces providing security inside of Groom. I can't confirm those stories so there is no need to tell them. I have been in many secret labs and test facilities and one thing I think is important to understand is that even if you got a look inside a hanger at Groom you would need Peter Merlin there with you to tell you what you are looking at and what it does because unless you have deep experience in the field of what you are looking at you don't have the knowledge to understand the scope of what you are seeing. For example we used to set up phoney distractions in our labs to distract anyone from looking too closely at what we are working on. I am sure that every attempt to get into Groom is documented in detail with a follow up investigation and recommendations for enhancements in security procedures. We will never see these records but I'll bet there are some legendary stories there. I think the last thing anyone hanging around Groom Lake thinks about is that there are very real espionage efforts attempting to gain access.
