Autonomous aircraft such as the Global Hawk have humans in the loop, but to a lesser degree than vehicles such as the Predator/Reaper families. There is no camera on the Global Hawk to provide a "pilot's eye view." The operator sees an icon representing the aircraft on a video map display, and uses a computer keyboard and mouse to click on preprogrammed commands or to input changes. The aircraft takes off and lands autonomously.
