Desert Overlook on Mt. Charleston should have almost as good of a view as Angel Peak, and those tresspassing signs look kind of nasty. However, I think I would rather see it from a bit closer. I don't think I can get away for the next Red Flag, but capstone sounds like good clean fun.

I'm guessing it is the dry lake at N36 36 14.4 W115 30 18.6. Desert View is located at N36 20 12.1 W115 37 43.1, or 19 miles away. Angel Peak is about the same distance, though about 600ft higher. I think you would do better being just off highway 95. If I have the right spot, that would put the dry lake bed about 10 miles away.
