The Pacific Ocean has been a test area for the military, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), NASA, etc, etc for many years........We man Kwajalein Atoll IIRC to monitor other countries missile test. One of the guys on Hyperscale is a fireman on Kwajalein(last I heard).........We have a large base in Guam (Anderson AFB)....Hickam AFB in Hawaii and the Naval Base at Pearl are important assets...............
