This WB-57, although based in TX is currently on a six month deployment. Last reported stop was Lajes. If you recall, this aircraft spent several weeks at KLSV testing at the NTS, in the Las Vegas metro area, and with several trips to "the box".

Unlike the ER-2, the current mission of the deployed WB-57 has not been published. As of this second, we don't know where it is or what it is doing.

I suspect it is doing some sort of long range nuclear sampling using newly developed sensors that were tested at the NTS. I'd speculate it's flying near the border of Iran, somewhere. But that's purely speculation.
