Last I read, the UK MOD was on the verge of reconsidering the move to the -C (CTOL naval version) and once again looking at the VTOL -B version. Apparently the cost of converting the VTOL configured decks to a conventional lay out (and associated cost of EMALs) was approaching that of just sticking with the -B and leaving the deck design in the original form.
