Not sure when Basecamp was taken over by the Air Force. But it is definitely active. Last year I have seen one of the small executive jets used by the Janet airline there, and Gary has seen four planes there shortly after 9/11.

Something odd about Basecamp is the fact that the VOR on 113.90 MHz is not always on.
