That is about what happened with Jacobsen's book. For two years she pestered this 80-year old nuclear engineer for "something" for her book. To shut her up, he made up that wild Russian flying saucer story and the one about us having deformed children floating in jelly at Area 51. Of course, the rest is history. That story is now part of the folklore of Area 51.
