While at Aviation Nation this, had the chance to chat with the media team from Nellis while my pass was being made, they seemed a bit behind on Saturday. One of the topics was the deployment of F-35s to the base. At that time they said it would likely be the end of 2012 as the base needed to demolish structures to be able to build new ones for the F-35 as well as relocate assets in an effort to make room from the 35s. Since then, a few twitter contacts have noted a good bit of construction on the base which one could assume is for the 35s arrival. If I hear anything more info I will share it !
