i dont know anything about books but years ago we drove up 395 taking the (very) scenic route to Reno. I seem to remember just past the middle of nowhere there was a sign for a road leading back there. How far can you get back in there...any body know? China Lake was like Area 51 before it became so secret and well known. :P
