"Images of Aviation: Area 51" is obviously not meant to be a comprehensive history of Area 51, but it provides a good overview in an accessible format. Most important, it contains only accurate and documented historical facts based on unclassified/declassified material. There are no rumors, speculation, or conspiracy nonsense.

I selected 224 photos that I felt would best illustrate the history of Area 51 within the constraints of Arcadia's 128-page format. Along with flight and ground test activities, I tried to include as many aspects as I could of the support personnel and organizations (weather, medical, air traffic control, security, maintenance, etc.). I think this book humanizes and demystifies Groom Lake in a way that no other book has yet done.
