Hi Joerg, This may be outdated since Peter F's NOTAM post. But do you have detailed info on the landing lights at KENO airfield? Are you saying they are infrared? Also, are they spaced like normal airport runway lights (infrared or high intensity for that matter) or are they like the ones used at the "Desert One" landing site during the April 24, 1980 hostage rescue attempt? At "Desert One" some guy with real "stones" rode a dirt bike out to the lake bed before the rescue attempt and placed 4 lights in a box formation then a single light as a stop point. Land inside the box and for the love of God don't roll past that single light!!! Pretty Ballsy on those C-130 pilots! I raise a glass to those dudes.
