Interesting report, thank you for the post. I did not know about this accident. I have added the link to our Crash Sites page. The report shows how serious Red Flag pilots take the Area 51 air space.

Looks like they lost two aircraft (and unfortunately their crew) during that Red Flag. Only two weeks later an F-4D crashed a few miles north of there after making ground contact on ingress.
