Somewhat OT: Nuclear Testing Database

Found this database/KML file for Google Earth. I always wondered about the multitude of craters at the NTS: shot name, date, yield, etc. Includes the Pacific shots as well.

If you follow the link, the KML file will open in IE, just click File, Save As, save it then open in Google Earth. Description as follows:

Nuclear Testing Database
compiled by Wm. Robert Johnston
version 2.8 (2 July 2009) for Google Earth
Includes locations for known nuclear detonations (2,388 total, of which 529 were above-ground) and known zero-yield events (257) (safety tests, hydronuclear/subcritical tests, and failed nuclear tests). Markers show atmospheric nuclear detonations (purple), underground nuclear detonations (orange), and zero-yield events (blue). Three sizes for nuclear detonation markers indicate yield ranges: less than 25 kt; 25-990 kt; and 1 mt or greater. Also includes nuclear test site boundaries and some craters. Multiple detonations within a single nuclear test are shown separately. Based on listings from http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/nuclear/tests/index.html (databases © 2001-2009 by W. R. Johnston)
