Wow, I envy you guys for being able to see the Thunderbirds. I also went to an air show last night, and thought it was really something to see an F-16 fly only about a hundred or so feet above me. There was a civilian group called the Patriots that flew six two seat L-39's-for some reason four had a single pilot and two had a "passenger plus pilot." It was really something to see the opposing solos approach each other and turn at the last second as they passed each other. I looked up info on them online and it turns out that in addition to a former Blue Angel, two of them were former Thunderbirds, one of whom flew the F-117 as well.
