I know a few people who actually have more than one 780 going at a time. In urban areas, there is lots of undercover police work done on LTR, and the 780 does a good job with that kind of trunk system. The only disadvantage is size and portability. The 780 is meant for auto/home use. One advantage to a larger size scanner is more room for filters, so the intermod tends to be lower.
