I have read Red Star Rogue. Big steaming heaps of steaming brown conspiracy crap. There have been a number of such books in recent years especially concerning the Scorpion.

As for Azorian, I recommend the book. I also recommend the redacted copy of ""Project Azorian: The Story of the Hughes Glomar Explorer," from "Studies in Intelligence," Fall 1985." This is available at http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/nukevault/ebb305/doc01.pdf

"Secret" often means 'Embarrassing' especially when the secrecy is continued after 40 years. This is especially true when the technology is long obsolete, the target no longer material and the 'enemy' vanished.

One thing in the book Azorian that raised my eyebrows was the claim that some of the pieces of wreckage were transfered to Area 51 at some point. They are now supposed to be in Building 7717 at the submarine base at Bangor, Washington.
