Seriously, I have the reverse effect sometimes with my Tahoe. When I get gas in Alamo in the winter and return to Vegas, my check engine light comes on in Vegas. I think they must be using different additives for the altitude.

BTW: You can buy scanners for about $15 on Ebay that plug into your diagnostic jack and read/reset the code. Cheaper than going to a shop.
