To me this is the kind of vehicle that should be considered for future space flight..... One of my make do jobs after the oil bust was driving the taxi's and shuttle buses for NASAJSC transportation.......Would often carry NASA big wigs and heard lots of stuff.....One was that an early proposals for the later Shuttle was a piggyback launching system.....Much like the Virgin/Rutan vehicle that's in the works......
