Yeah, as I said, I don't know what the material or process is. I've heard comments to the effect that a very thin layer, like a couple of atoms thick, of gold is involved. Gold's a good conductor, so that makes sense. I can only say that the test data show that it works. Very well.

The -117, -22, -35, and B-2 all make use of this technique for reducing RCS. And cockpit glass is an easy retrofit, so it stands to reason that Have Glass-like programs have addressed other older designs.

The F-105G was the Wild Weasel variant; if I recall correctly, the 116th TFW at Dobbins was the last unit flying them. Then they transitioned to F-15s, then B-1s, then the Bones got moved out west and the wing disbanded.
