It's harldy 'Home Brew' - it's top-of-the-line equipment, as it goes. As I said, you CAN buy an entire set, pre-assembled - but that gets considerably more expensive.

As for 'ghosting' - the signal-strength differential that the system uses (from the three independent RF systems , one for each antenna) almost completely eliminates 'ghosting' of signal, by comparing the signal strength from all three antennas and plotting the data from the information.

The ready-to-use kit is considerably more expensive, as well, becusae of the component that doesn't come in the kit - the specialized computer control that integrates the data and plots it to a custom CRT. Agin, the system I outline may be less capable, on the basic level - but it's also a LOT more affordable....
