RQ-170 used for Bin Laden surveillance

Fox News is running a story, see link below, about how the new RQ-170 used in surveying and killing Bin Laden. It appears the CIA needed to fly over high security sites in Pakistan without being detected and they went to the Skunkworks to get their plane. Times like these make me happy we have the top secret installation out in the desert, though, design and construction probably happened elsewhere. Also, the pods on the RQ-170, people were speculating about what they could be? From the other news reports, the Military used Hyperspectral imageing and real-time date uplink, so maybe, those are what some of the pods are! Makes me wonder how quiet the RQ-170 is when flying, I guess it depends to on the altitude it is being flown at?! Lastly, when did the RQ-170 come out, per se?
