The Russians were never 10 feet tall. It will take an immense amount of huffing and puffing to blow them up to 10 inches tall. Even if Russia doubled it's defense budget it would still be spending less than China which is spending 1/6th of what we are. Russia is spending just slightly more than Japan and Germany, less than Britain or France. The US spends more on defense than the next 20 nations. Attempts to invent a major military threat to the USA by folks fearful for their funding or yearning for the golden Cold War years are pathetic.
