Rumsfeld wanted to drop the B1B from the inventory, so I suspect some politics are involved in the decision to use it. Assuming poltics is not invoved, given the level (or lack there-of) of enemy resistance, the only other logical reason to use the B1B would be that is has weapon or capability that the B52H doesn't have. Now the B1B is was originally designed for nukes.......
