The (#1) dark image (on runway 09) is the shadow of the faint image still within runway 09.....The faintness is probably due to the sun reflection off the metal.........The image date is given as 7/12/09 and being July the sun is VERY, VERY bright...Having been stationed at Nellis for 3 yrs, I can atest to the severity of the sun and the heat.....Felt like stepping into a "blast furnace" room........ Interesting to see those F-16's parked at the north end....
