Having been on the front line at bases around the world I can truthfully tell you that what a guard wants is no activity in their area of operations. Everything that happens has to be reported and followed up on. This means more work. It's bad enough to have to guard cactus and sage brush for 12 hours per shift. The guards don't distinguish between friend and foe, everyone is treated a foe. The single greatest threat to our national security is the threat we aren't aware of. There are defensive measures for all the known threats. Real espionage does take place around Groom.
