Wow ! 1972 ! Now that's a great a memory. First time I saw the Harrier in person was at a Cleveland National Air Show in the 80s. Was a staple for the show up till 92 or so then suddenly stopped. Luckily, I saw it's return to Cleveland in 2007. Also lucky to catch them at Nellis this year for Red Flag 10-2. Not sure if the crowd draw for the Harrier is actually what it can do, rather it's noise ! You never leave a Harrier demo thinking: "Wonder what would happen if you put more power in it?" Hoping they keep some around for air shows !
