I came across something today that I was not familiar with: Wikimapia http://wikimapia.org This is basically GoogleEarth but with details, places and things clearly marked AND highlighted. The entire area around the Nellis Ranges, NTS and TTR is clearly marked so that most anything of note can easily be found. For example, all the range targets and mock airfields down to "tanks" and "SAM's" are all clearly marked and highlighted. Every crater from every atomic bomb blast is marked and highlighted with its name. All the auxilliary airfields are marked and highlighted, bomb crater fields from Red Flag bombing runs are highlighted. Go to White Sands Missile Range, Edwards, China Lake, Fallon and Eglin and you'll find things right away that are not easy to find on Google Earth, and on and on and on. I believe we all spend quite a bit of time on Google Earth. You will spend a lot more time on Wikimapia. It's simply amazing!
