The 3096th Aviation Depot Squadron based at Nellis AFB, subsequently redesignated the 896th Munitions Squadron, is responsible for Area II operations.

Area II houses nukes....So info is gonna be scarce..
Global Security is probably the best source at this time.

When I was stationed at Nellis (62-65) "Lake Mead Base" was US Navy and guarded by US Marines.....IIRC they had a tunnel (nuke storage I assume)into Sunrise/Frenchman Mountain at the back of the base, which has since disappeared.......
