As we all might know Area II's WSA-- Weapons Storage Area for a very long time was managed by the 896th munitions squadron Hq'ed out of Kirtland AFB. Now all anybody will say at Nellis is that the 57 AMXS handles all WSA operations. So i asked if Area II WSA is still associated with Kirtland AFB. They replied and said "We cannot give out any further information. Plus Nellis WSA is the largest above ground wsa in USAF. Now i'm trying to figure out who really is in charge of the WSA there. So now you are going to tell me that the 57 AMXS took over the WSA. Come on thats a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SQUADRON. To me it sounds like someone is telling a little lie. Now maybe it is true that the 896th MUNS might of been deactivated. But i really do not think the only squadron that handles all operations in the largest wsa in the USAF is the 57 AMXS. So if anybody has any thought or fact on this subject please reply. Thank you so much in advance,
