Correct!.........Nellis' whole purpose is and always has been pilot training to use the guns and drop ordanance.....

One of the real dangers was the aircraft taking off to the south with live stuff......There were crashes....

During WW2 air crews also trained to use their 50 cals at the then Las Vegas Army Air Force Base....And Tonopah IIRC......
