HOKUM, DREAM, NUGGE, MINT, JUNNO, KL46M These are simply charted "intersections" on civilian instrument flight charts. Each intersection is made up of a different five letter combination. ATC can then clear the pilot to a specific point by saying "fly direct HOKUM", etc. The names are chosen by the FAA, but there is often a bit of fun in the selection. Out in Maine there is an instrument approach with waypoints that include ITAWT ITAWW APUDY TATT IDEED (think Tweety Bird).....
