Clem, muchos gracias, that was getting to the meat of my wonders. We have formal, uniform approved seals........and the informal, "that's fine if you make a little something up but don't be stupid with it" kind of stuff a squadron or detachment can create and most everyone is okay with that.

Could be that my questions on the subject were just a lack of knowing and understanding the M&Ps here.

My impression was that anything attempting to represent a known and legit AF unit of any kind had to be created and approved via a standardized bureaucratic process. I guess not, given it's not completely out of line.......
