One thing strikes me looking at all the patches is the abundance of triangular/diamond vehicle shapes on the special projects. They have a history of trying to hide various aspects of the project in the patch, and there are plenty of triangular/diamond craft with a jagged trailing edge...none of which match known aircraft.
I've studied satellite/space program patches knowing some back stories for some of them and it's amazing how some of the elements are hiding in plain sight.
