Probably the exception is in combat.....My nephew (USN Chaplain assigned to a USMC unit))got in trouble in Iraq for going out on patrol with his unit......
With or without a Chapel, services are held in just about any place or anywhere and even in many faiths.....
Have seen pictures of a Chaplain holding service next to his Jeep, which was serving as his Eucharistic(think that is the correct word) Table...
Never fear, our US Military folks are well cared for.
