Thanks Joerg. I'm not sure that I agree with the enhanced security because of those supposed russian radar sites. As I said in another message I posted, I think that it's pretty stupid to put them up there in full view of Rachel. But maybe you're right.

I had another thought: maybe the Groom Lake Road is used exclusively for authorized personell, meaning those that work there on a regular, permananent basis, and the North Gate is for Temporary authorized personell. Just a thought, but it still seems strange that the north gate is secured by a fence, and the Groom Lake gate is not. The road to the base (from the north gate) is even longer, especially according to my range chart, so it'd take one hell of a drive before you'd be able to see anything sensitive.
