Lincoln Lab at Groom

Lincoln Lab - R&D support contractor/RCS - at Watertown Federal Airfield (Groom Lake, Lincoln County, NV), operates two business-type aircraft: one Gulfstream II (N105TB) and one Falcon 20 (N20NY). These aircraft are fitted with various radar (both passive and active) for airborne RCS calibration purposes. These two aircraft are registered with Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), and are assigned to the Electronics Systems Center, 66th Air Base Wing, Hanscom, AFB, Mass. Although these aircraft can be seen operating from Hanscom, they are not based there, but rather are based at Groom Lake; and each has its own individual hangar at the north end of the Groom facility.
