Apparently there are exceptions to every rule. While camped out in Tempiute Valley last Spring during Red Flag, I saw two B-2s fly, what appeared to be, directly over Groom Lake. They came in from the north/east at 30,000+ feet heading in the direction of Creech AFB, and shortly thereafter, returned in the exact reverse direction. I have seen the B-2s flying into the bombing range on many occasions, but this was the first time I ever saw them fly over Groom. I thought their flight path was out of the ordinary. The only reason I could think of at the time, is that some electronic testing was going on, maybe involving Groom, as they sure looked out of place if you can imagine that given the vast air space they otherwise fly in? Obviously they had to have had permission to do so.
