RS scanners are - okay. But you would do much better with the Unidens - and in particular the BC15 - that is when you can find it in stock.

It is easy to program via a PC - and has excellent selectivity and sensitivity - plus all sorts of features (such as bandscope and GPS expandability) that you find very useful.

I use mine with FreeScan - an excellent PC - Scanner control program that is free. Do a search - you'll find it.

The only problem is - they are often out-of-stock. Sign up for Uniden Direct and you will receive an e-mail when they have them.
