i dont want to hijack the thread by getting too far off topic. i think two things are going on at groom. we have planes that are almost invisible to radar now but we are also making them as invisible as possible to other forms of detection. this would include heat signatures, visual, sound, etc.

the second thing i believe happening at groom is for every new system developed there eventually is a counter-system. i think they are also using groom to test new ways of detecting stealth aircraft and any other new systems we do not know about yet. right now we are the only country that has stealth aircraft deployed. that will not always be the case.
