I apply this response to the entirety of this thread.

The current POTUS's recent response to the space program via the budget and his remarks is utter horsesh!t. Pure and simple.


Space travel at this point is not commercially profitable at this time. Shooting satellites and probes into space at this point is marginally money-making from a contractor's point-of-view. Very few willy-nilly customers for it. Mining the Moon is VERY FAR from reality or liklihood. Anything short is just space tourism and they're aren't enough interested millionares in the world to support it

Our current POTUS is a jackass embarassment for all Americans and his ideas herewith are utter literal proof of this.

The next humans to see the surface of the Moom will be Chinese and Chairman Obama will be prefectly fine with that. He hates the reality that America would have done this before any other nation and is readily willling to cede the accomplishment.


Said, done, risk disagreeing with me 20 years from now unless a GOP'r gains the seat and saves NASA from his mania in the meantime.........
