Bottom line the only directly actionable statement that was made was that we are not going back to the moon - ever. The rest of the speech is positive sounding but non-committal might be, could be and maybe will - but no direct commitment or call to action such as was made by Kennedy who vowed to achieve a specific goal in a definite time frame in 1961. Get back to me this time in 2012 and let just see how far along are we to any viable manned space vehicles, programs or goals. If NASA is not a shadow of its former self I'll buy you a beer.
