Do you have the link to the article or obituary for his death?
Any idea where he died or will be buried?

He is not a well known name such as Yeager but certainly racked up a lot of incredible accomplishments and has many medals.

The first man to fly Mach 4, Mach 5 & Mach 6
The first to fly above 200,000'
The first above 300,000'
The first to exceed 3,000 mph
The first to fly a winged vehicle into space
WWII fighter pilot and POW
Awarded the Air Force Cross in Viet Nam - the USAF's second highest honor
