The only F-35A, AF-1, is currently at Fort Worth. The original F-35A, AA-1, has been grounded and retired to China lake where it will be used for battle damage assessment. The only other F-35s flying are all F-35Bs (STOVLs), BF-1, BF-2 and BF-3, and all three are at Pax River in MD and will be for the foreseeable future. The first F-35C (CV), CF-1, is still at Fort Worth and is due to make its first flight soon (it was actually due to fly more than 6 months ago!). It's unlikely you'll see any F-35s over the ranges for a while yet.
