Thanks for the post. Yes, that is common practice at Nellis. When they check in, they usually say how many aircraft are in the flight, and sometimes the type. E.g. "LIMEY 1-6, flight of six GR-9, checking in". Yes, "LIMEY" was actually used by the british Harriers during the last Flag.
