There is no reason to worry if you stayed on public roads. Security may be a little on edge right now, but to my knowledge there is no law that prohibits using the surrounding roads. Please note, however, that most of Haven St. is a no parking zone.
Can you pinpoint on our map of the terminal area (see attached link) where you were driving, and where you parked?
If you see the guys again, try to snap a couple of photos.
