There was an former airforce base in Rome NY....Griffiss Air Force Base......It's had bomber groups, fighter groups,an electronic research group and air refueling group...etc etc......Griffis AFB closed in 1994.... Testing air platforms ??????? Now Republic Aviation, and Grumman factories are/were out on Long Island....Strange aircraft could come from there(???)
Perhaps others know more.....
