The PAK-FA concept has been around for at least the last 5 years, and for that entire time, the Russians have been claiming that it is almost ready to begin test flights. I can't begin to count how many times the "initial flight" date has been pushed back. They haven't even built a mockup yet, much less a prototype. The only tangible thing to arise from the program is a series of artist conceptions. I seriously doubt it will fly within the next 5 years, given the Russians' questionable (though improving) funding situation. It seems they are spending more on their navy at the moment (new carrier and 2 new sub classes the last few years). Chris M.
