Yes, the row of lights, shown later to be flares, was only one of two events that night. It offered a dramatic, but erroneous, visual story for tv news, since there were only eyewitness accounts of a craft. The craft sightings began as early as Henderson, NV, and moved southward thru AZ. By the time it reached Phoenix, it was viewed over a major hwy and residential areas. The 18wheeler return is interesting. One theory I read a few years ago posited that the craft was indeed a black project from Area51, but had developed problems and needed to land at Davis-Monthan AFB. Hence, the flight over Hwy 10.
