December sounds a little optimistic. Ive been there late in October and encountered some snow on the road. Lots of snow in November. Usually the heavy snow shows up when you turn on to 375. Your big worry is Hancock Summit. That area gets little sun and black ice is very prevalent just as you start downhill and into the curves. Be very careful there.
